Coaching Ethics Framework
asctaQLD cannot restrict free trade and competition amongst coaches nor promoting collusion or monopolistic practices – thus ASCTA has developed the guidelines below for coaches to use when approached by a swimmer from another program.
- Swimmer/Parent approaches coach to join program
- Response: “Have you spoken to your current coach”?
- If yes, contact the coach prior to accepting the coaching opportunity.
- If no, send the athlete back to discuss situation with their current coach.
